Anunciado como parte da DLC “Mr. X Nightmare” de Streets of Rage 4, o wrestler Max Thunder que estrou no segundo game da franquia, Streets of Rage 2, teve seu retorno anunciado pela desenvolvedora e editora Dotemu em conjunto com as produtoras Lizard Cube e Guard Crush Games.
Streets of Rage 4 encontra-se disponível para Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One e PC.
